Dr. Riley, Academy Scholar!

The staff of Darr & Associates, Inc. is thrilled to announce that owner Pamela Riley, Au.D, Doctor of Audiology, has been recognized by the American Academy of Audiology as an Academy Scholar!

Through her dedication to continuing education, along with her commitment to professional excellence, Doctor Riley earned Academy Scholar status for 2009-2010. Pam completed more than 50 hours of continuing education, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

For more than 46 years, Darr & Associates has been proud to serve the Michiana Community with quality hearing health care. Doctor Pamela Riley and the Starkey Hearing Foundation Conducts Mission in
Honduras; Thousands of Aids Fit

The Starkey Hearing Foundation, Operation Honduras, and Doctor Pamela Riley of Darr & Associates returned from Honduras last month, where nearly 4,000 hearing aids were given to locals in need of better hearing through a mission entitled Mission: Possible.

The team traveled to the Central American republic to share their professional skills and deliver much-needed hearing health care services and technology, where they fit an estimated 2,000 people over a tight two-day period.

Many recipients of the donated aids braved considerable drives, ferry rides, and long lines to receive care. The fittings of the new aids allowed several native Hondurans to hear their own voices and the voices of their loved ones for the very first time.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation conducts better hearing missions throughout the world and has changed 46,300 lives in the Central American and Caribbean regions alone. Operation Honduras, a group of Northeast Pennsylvania volunteers, travels to Honduras annually to improve the quality of life for orphans and those in need through medical and educational outreach. Audigy Group, the national network of elite hearing care professionals dedicated to superior hearing health services and technology, is proud to have been invited to share in such a worthwhile cause with two outstanding outreach organizations.
